Plans have a habit of changing
The plan was a short run out and back before lunch. The supercharged 1812 cc Super Vortex High Output engine has other ideas, and it makes the argument through a 160 mm high pressure pump that answers the throttle instantly and keeps answering. Underneath, the NanoXcel2® deck and durable SMC hull are strong where the loads go and light where it counts.
One glass panel runs the rest of it. The Connext® Infotainment touchscreen gathers drive control, GPS, smartphone connectivity, the factory-fitted Yamaha audio system and incoming phone calls into a single place. Around it, a watertight glove box with USB Type C and a 12V outlet, dry stowage under a two-piece seat, and custom-cut deck mats that keep three riders steady.

Electric trim puts the craft’s attitude under your thumb, and setting it well is a skill worth learning. One button, and you can ask for stronger acceleration and less drag, or quicker planing and a more confident feel. Adjustable tilt steering sets your stance, and RiDE® leaves docking to a single lever at the bars.
PERFORMANCE
The mid-range does the work
Supercharging matters most in the middle. With three aboard, 168.3 L of kit stowed and a headwind building, the reserve is just there — the 160 mm high pressure pump holding 3.58 m of loaded hull at cruising speed, 70 L of fuel behind it.
