Injection does the thinking
This is a SOHC in-line twin making 14.7 kW of maximum propeller shaft output through a 2.08 (27/13) gear ratio. It displaces 432 cc on a 65.0 × 65.1 mm bore and stroke at 9.1 : 1 compression, and it is fed by fuel injection rather than a carburettor — which is what keeps combustion clean and throttle response crisp right across the 5000 – 6000 r/min working range.
Behind the one-piece top cowling, the equipment list is more grown-up than the size suggests: PrimeStart™ for car-like ignition, battery-less EFI, VTS speed control and Y-COP key fob locking. Charging runs 16 A, which covers starts, lights and the onboard extras that accumulate over a season. Wet sump lubrication and F-N-R shifting keep the rest refreshingly simple, and the optional Digital Network Gauges add speed, efficiency and performance readouts when you want them.

The large multi-function tiller option is the trick: throttle, gear and trim all fall to the same hand, so nothing about a tight approach needs a second thought. Manual steering covers 45 degrees each direction — 40 with power trim — for turns that stay predictable, shallow water drive picks the leg up when the bottom rises, and an 850 – 950 r/min idle keeps an early departure from waking the anchorage.

Most of the styling is a single component — a moulded top cowling with a watertight fit that looks as tidy as it seals. Dry weight starts at 56 kg, so it lifts, carries and mounts as easily as it runs, and a hose-fed freshwater flush sends it back to the rack clean.
